Description

PioneerPOS NC8FCQ150031 CYP i5 WiFi Base Station

Overview

The PioneerPOS NC8FCQ150031 is a compact Windows 10 Pro compute platform built on an Intel Core i5 processor with 8GB RAM and 120GB SSD storage. This base unit ships with integrated WiFi and is designed to anchor point-of-sale, surveillance monitoring, or light-duty commercial automation environments where fanless, low-power x86 computing is required. The CYP form factor fits standard retail counter and security operations center (SOC) desk footprints.

Compatibility

The NC8FCQ150031 runs Windows 10 Pro natively, making it compatible with any enterprise or specialized POS software, VMS client (Milestone, Genetec, Axis Camera Station, etc.), or warehouse management system built for the Windows ecosystem. The 8GB RAM and i5 processor support concurrent multi-camera client connections, real-time alerting, and local event processing for surveillance integrations. WiFi connectivity allows flexible placement without Ethernet runs; however, wired Ethernet is preferred for 24/7 surveillance reliability — confirm network switch availability before deployment. The 120GB SSD is sufficient for OS + client software; do not expect onboard video recording.

Installation Notes

Mount the base unit horizontally on a desk, counter, or equipment rack using the provided bracket footprint. Ensure adequate ventilation on all sides — passive cooling via natural convection only. Connect to 12V DC power (specifications available from the manufacturer). If using WiFi, position the unit within line-of-sight of your access point; for surveillance SOC environments, substitute an Ethernet run to your security network. No field-replaceable components; configure Windows 10 updates and firewall policy before handing off to operations.
