Overview

The PioneerPOS QCT-MA4FCQ-WB (CT15M) is a compact x86 terminal built around an Intel Celeron J1900 processor—a multi-core, low-power CPU designed for 24/7 operation in point-of-sale, kiosk, and light surveillance recording scenarios. It ships with 4GB of DDR3 RAM and 120GB SSD storage, enough for Windows 10 Pro and modest local recording workflows without external NAS. The J1900's thermal envelope is tight, making it suitable for small-footprint countertop or wall-mount installations where rack space isn't available.

Compatibility

This terminal integrates with ONVIF-compatible surveillance management software (Milestone, Genetec, Axis Camera Station) via standard Ethernet or integrated WiFi—no specialized VMS required. Windows 10 Pro supports third-party recording clients and video management plugins. The TPM 2.0 module enables BIOS-level security policies and supports encrypted credential storage for multi-user environments. Not recommended as a primary NVR for high-channel-count deployments (4K multi-camera recording will saturate the J1900); better suited as a localized edge recorder for 2–4 camera feeds or as a secondary failover node in distributed surveillance architectures.

Installation Notes

The unit operates across -40°C to 60°C, but sustained operation above 45°C requires active cooling or low ambient temperature. Battery-backed time-of-day (BAT2 Locked) preserves system time and logging metadata during brief power loss. No external monitor, keyboard, or mouse included—provision your own display and input peripherals. Windows 10 Pro licensing is pre-installed; no product key required unless you perform a clean OS installation. Power consumption is approximately 20–28W under typical surveillance load; supply 12V or 24V DC via included connector or upgrade to PoE injector if integrating into an all-PoE infrastructure.
