It is designed for distributed network infrastructure deployments where 802.3af endpoints require power delivery integrated with data transmission — typical in access control readers, IP phones, wireless APs, and lightweight cameras operating at or below 15.4W per port. The 802.3af standard ensures compatibility with any PoE-capable device expecting passive power injection across categories 5e or 6 cable.
Installation Notes
The C5 connector on the device end plugs directly into the 170732-001 injector. Route the UK Type G wall-end plug to a standard UK power outlet (BS 1363). The 1.8m length accommodates typical wall-to-equipment-rack distances in telecom closets without requiring extension cords — keep run direct to reduce voltage drop on the 250V AC supply side.
