Overview

The BA-MC400-5GB is a hot-swappable 5G modem module purpose-built for the Cradlepoint AER2200 Branch Router. It upgrades existing AER2200 deployments to 5G + Gigabit-Class LTE Advanced Pro without router replacement. Install the module into the AER2200's modular modem slot, insert a 4FF nano-SIM, and activate—no configuration rewrites needed. Use this when you need cellular failover at branch offices, remote sites, or mobile network deployments and want 5G speed without hardware refresh.

Compatibility

This module integrates exclusively with the Cradlepoint AER2200 Branch Router. The AER2200 supports modular modem expansion through its dedicated upgrade slot; the BA-MC400-5GB occupies that slot and provides the 5G + LTE cellular interface. Requires activation with a carrier-provisioned 4FF nano-SIM card. Not compatible with other Cradlepoint models or non-Cradlepoint routers.

Installation Notes
