The PS12DC-1A-US is a universal switching power supply that converts 100-240VAC mains input to a regulated +12VDC output at up to 1.0A — enough headroom for a single stand-alone ComNet unit drawing modest current. The wide input range (100V -10% to 240V +10%) means the same part works on US 120V circuits or international 230V mains without a separate SKU, which matters if you're provisioning multi-site jobs with mixed electrical standards. At under 1 kg (0.44 lb) and a footprint of just 3.7 x 4.65 x 7.7 cm, it mounts inconspicuously near a rack, cabinet, or wall-mounted enclosure without eating panel space.
Compatibility
Designed to power ComNet stand-alone units that accept a +12VDC input — media converters, single-unit transceivers, and similar low-draw ComNet field devices rated within the 1.0A output ceiling. It is not a multi-output or PoE injector supply; confirm your target device's current draw stays under 1.0A before pairing. The removable pin-head design accepts interchangeable outlet connectors, and it also accepts a standard figure-8 line cord input if you'd rather hardwire a local cord instead of using a pin head.
Installation Notes
Output wiring is a fixed positive/negative pair on one end, with the figure-8 line cord input on the other — no field-configurable voltage or polarity settings, so double-check output polarity against your device's DC jack or terminal before energizing. Operating range is 0°C to 40°C, with a wider -20°C to 70°C storage tolerance; for outdoor or unconditioned enclosures, keep the unit within its 0-40°C operating band or budget for enclosure heating/cooling. Humidity tolerance is 10-95% non-condensing, and rated MTBF is 50,000 hours at 25°C — a useful number when calculating spares stock for a large deployment. Input draw is negligible at idle (0.3W max, no load) and 0.35A max input current under load, so it won't strain a shared circuit.
