Comelit UT9181 Flush-Mount Rain Shield
Overview
The Comelit UT9181 is a flush-mount rain shield designed to protect a single Comelit Ultra module from direct weather exposure. Built from anodised aluminium (grey finish), the UT9181 extends equipment lifespan in unshielded outdoor locations where rain, wind-driven moisture, or salt spray would otherwise degrade the module's electronics. Deploy this where your Ultra panel sits in an exposed entrance, loading dock, or exterior kiosk without a covered vestibule — the shield redirects water away from the mounting frame while maintaining PoE power delivery and signal integrity to the module behind it.
Compatibility
Compatible exclusively with single-module Comelit Ultra entrance panel frames. The UT9181 fits the flush-mounting configuration and does not interfere with PoE+ (802.3at) power delivery to the Ultra module. Verify your existing Ultra frame supports single-module architecture before ordering; multi-module Ultra installations require alternative rain shield variants.
Installation Notes
Dimensions: 132 × 141 × 32 mm (5.2 × 5.6 × 1.3 in). The shield mounts flush to the frame, meaning it sits in plane with the surrounding wall or panel surface — no offset or protrusion that could catch traffic or weather. Anodised aluminium resists corrosion but is not stainless steel; in high-salt environments (coastal installations), inspect seal gaskets annually. PoE+ power passes through the shield assembly without degradation; no separate power runs or modifications to your PoE infrastructure are required.
