Code Blue SLNF0216 Stainless Steel PoE Network Cable
Overview
The Code Blue SLNF0216 is a ruggedized stainless steel network cable engineered for outdoor and corrosive-environment IP security deployments. IP68 rating means full submersion and direct dust ingress won't degrade performance — critical in coastal installations, industrial yards, and weather-exposed mounting scenarios where standard Cat5e/Cat6 fails within months. Delivers both PoE (802.3af) power and network data in a single run, eliminating dual-infrastructure complexity. Stainless steel construction resists salt spray, industrial chemicals, and UV degradation where standard PVC jackets corrode or become brittle.
Compatibility
Pairs with any standard PoE-enabled IP camera, access control reader, or network device drawing up to 13W via 802.3af. Works with ONVIF-compliant VMS platforms (Milestone, Genetec, Axis Camera Station, etc.) and integrates into existing PoE switch infrastructure without modification. Suitable for wall, ceiling, pole, and outdoor conduit installations where environmental durability trumps cost. Compatible with PoE switches and injectors meeting 802.3af delivery spec.
Installation Notes
Stainless steel connectors and shielding require standard RJ-45 termination tools — no special crimpers needed. Verify your PoE source can sustain 802.3af output (minimum 48V, 350mA per port). Route through UV-resistant conduit if run length exceeds 100 meters to preserve sheath integrity. Do not exceed 90°C ambient or direct flame exposure. Grounding: if cable runs parallel to high-voltage lines, maintain recommended separation per NEC guidelines to avoid inductive coupling.
