Overview
The Code Blue 40525 is an IP56-rated LED combo strobe designed as a supplemental illumination and signaling device for security monitoring installations. Operating on 12–24V AC/DC power (including PoE), the unit delivers 270 lumens at 92 candela with 21 programmable flash modes and a maximum flash rate of 375 per minute. Built to NEMA 4 specifications and measuring 5.1 inches tall by 5.5 inches in diameter, it mounts in equipment racks, on walls, or on poles—eliminating separate power infrastructure when deployed on PoE-enabled networks. This is the strobe you add to a surveillance system when you need both visual deterrent and night-vision support without running dedicated AC wiring to remote locations.
Compatibility
The 40525 integrates with any PoE-enabled network switch or injector supporting 802.3af power delivery (up to 13W). Compatible with IP-based security camera systems, access control architectures, and broader surveillance VMS deployments that accept relay or contact-closure signaling. Works with standard 12V and 24V AC/DC power supplies where PoE is not available. Pair with outdoor PTZ cameras, turret domes, or bullet units to create co-located illumination and event notification.
Installation Notes
Operating temperature range is −40°F to +158°F (−40°C to +70°C), suitable for both indoor equipment rooms and covered outdoor mounting. IP56 rating handles direct water spray and dust ingress but does not provide full submersion protection—mount under eaves or within NEMA 4 enclosures for full weather isolation. PoE delivery draws under 13W, so standard 802.3af injection will not cause switch power budget strain. For AC/DC power inputs, use 12–24V supply rated for continuous duty. Flash modes and rate are configurable; verify your control interface supports the signaling protocol before deployment.
