The IF5-EFX1 is an Ethernet interface assembly that adds network connectivity to Citizen CL-S series thermal label printers. Install this card into compatible Citizen models to enable network-based print job submission, status monitoring, and device management — eliminating the need for parallel or serial port workarounds in modern network-only environments.
Compatibility
The IF5-EFX1 is designed for installation in the following Citizen printer models: CL-S521II, CL-S621II, CL-S631II, and S7XX series (S720, S730 variants). Do not attempt installation in other Citizen printer families or non-Citizen devices. Verify your printer model number matches one of these before ordering.
Installation Notes
This interface assembly requires opening the printer's interface slot cover and seating the card firmly into the dedicated slot. No external power is required — the card draws power from the printer's internal bus. Ensure the printer is powered off before installation. Secure the card with the provided retention bracket or screw to prevent accidental displacement during transport or operation.
