Camden CM-69S Round Surface Mount Strike Box
Overview
The CM-69S is a 6.5-inch-diameter round surface-mount enclosure designed to house door activation switches on standard-depth door frames without requiring frame modification. The black polymer (ABS) construction is flame and impact resistant, making it suitable for commercial and institutional access control deployments where you need a compact, aesthetic strike mounting solution. This is the base enclosure; it pairs with compatible switch modules to create a complete activation system.
Compatibility
The CM-69S accepts Camden CM-60 series all-active heavy-duty switches (UL/CSA approved) and the Camden 6-inch round CM-331/42R-SGLR SureWave™ wireless switch. The mounting ring and hardware are included to support either switch family. If your door prep is a round cavity and you're installing a compatible Camden access control switch, this box handles the structural and aesthetic mounting piece.
Installation Notes
The enclosure mounts directly to a surface or wall with the provided extension ring. The ring aligns with the round box using crescent guides. Two 6-32 x 1.25-inch screws fasten the ring to the box, leaving approximately 0.25 inches of clearance for switch installation. For CM-60 series switches, the backplate groove slides over the bottom screw, then the top screw passes through the backplate cutout; socket head screws then secure the switch. For SureWave™ switches, two 6-32 x 1.5-inch screws pass through the PCB slotted holes, the extension ring, and into the mounted enclosure. Additional 6-32 x 0.5-inch screws secure the faceplate. A hex key is supplied for tight assembly.
