Camden CM-54CBL Surface Mount Enclosure
Overview
The CM-54CBL is a surface-mounted standard-depth enclosure designed to house Camden Aura™ illuminated push plate switches and compatible access control components. Built from flame and impact-resistant black polymer, it provides durable protection for door activation hardware in commercial and institutional environments. The standard depth profile fits typical surface-mount applications where you need housing that won't protrude excessively from the wall plane—critical in high-traffic corridors, loading docks, or facilities with ADA compliance requirements.
Compatibility
The CM-54CBL mounts with Camden Aura™ illuminated switch kits including the CM-45 and CM-46 4½-inch square push plate switches. It is designed to work alongside 4½-inch square switch form factors and integrates with installations using Camden's audible sounder and Form C contact activation systems. Confirm mounting screw patterns and cutout dimensions with your specific switch model before installation.
Installation Notes
Surface mount directly to standard framing or metal studs using appropriate fasteners for your wall type (not supplied). Ensure the mounting surface is flat and plumb to prevent binding or gaps. The standard depth reduces installation complexity in tight wall spaces where recessed or flush mounting is not feasible. Verify electrical rough-in locations before final mounting to avoid rework.
