Description

Camden CM-55CBL Flush Box Standard Depth

Overview

The CM-55CBL is a flush-mounted enclosure housing for access control installations. Black polymer construction with flame and impact-resistant properties — meaning it will not melt or shatter under mechanical stress or accidental flame exposure, a meaningful constraint in high-traffic or industrial door environments. Standard depth profile mounts into door frames without protruding far into the corridor. Designed to house credential readers and push plate switches in networked access control systems where the reader needs to sit flush against the door stile.

Compatibility

The CM-55CBL pairs with Camden's Aura™ illuminated push plate switch lineup, specifically the 4½-inch square format switches (CM-45, CM-46 series). Works with TCP/IP-based access control systems supporting credential reader integration and network-based authentication. Standard depth allows integration into typical commercial door frame installations where space behind the door frame is limited.

Installation Notes

Flush mounting requires cutout preparation to door stile or frame; verify door thickness and frame depth before ordering. Intended for indoor access control applications — flame/impact rating is not a weatherproofing claim. Coordinate reader and power wiring before final enclosure closure to avoid field retrofit.
