Compatibility

This kit is designed for use in standard 19-inch racks or cabinets featuring square-hole mounting channels. The 12-24 thread size is common for rack accessories and support rails. It is compatible with Panduit's line of rear support rails and other rack accessories that utilize 12-24 UNC thread size for attachment to square-hole rack uprights. The overall width of the components, 0.47 inches (12mm), ensures compatibility with standard rack depths and accessory mounting patterns.

Installation Notes

The kit includes 100 each of 12-24 round-head screws (1" long), 12-24 cage nuts, and 12-24 hex nuts. The screw length provides sufficient engagement for the cage nut within the rack rail's square hole. The cage nut is inserted into the square hole and then crimped to hold its position, allowing the screw to thread into it. A standard hex driver or nut driver is required for tightening the hex nuts. The included components are RoHS-compliant, meeting environmental standards for electronic equipment.
