Overview

The GL-CR-CRP4 is a 4-inch cable retaining post designed for use with Vertiv GL-series wire mesh cable runway systems. It clips onto the runway frame to create a physical boundary that keeps cable bundles organized and prevents lateral migration — particularly useful in high-density horizontal runs where vibration or cable weight would otherwise allow bundles to drift across the runway. The 4-inch height accommodates moderate cable stack depths; for deeper bundles, the GL-CR-CRP8 (8-inch variant) provides additional containment height. Both posts share the same mounting interface.

Compatibility

The GL-CR-CRP4 is designed for the Vertiv GL-series cable runway ecosystem, which includes a broad set of compatible components: runway segments, wall termination kits (GL-CR-WTK6), butt splice kits (GL-CR-BSK), junction splice kits (GL-CR-JSK), vertical wall brackets (GL-CR-VWB), vertical support brackets (GL-CR-VSB), triangular support brackets (GL-CR-TSB6), slotted hanger bracket kits (GL-CR-SHBK), and adjustable straight splice bracket kits (GL-CR-BSSK). It is also compatible within infrastructure deployments alongside Vertiv cable management racks (CMR-45U10, CMRX-45U30) and 4-post VRX racks (VRX-45U-2436-M6) where GL-series runway is deployed for horizontal overhead or under-floor routing. Use alongside GL-CR-EC vinyl end caps and GL-CR-JBOLT J-bolt hardware as part of a complete runway build.

Installation Notes

The retaining post mounts directly to the cable runway rungs — no additional tools beyond standard hand tools required for attachment. Position posts at regular intervals along active cable runs to distribute containment evenly; spacing depends on cable bundle diameter and weight. The black finish matches standard GL-series runway components. For taller cable stacks, substitute the GL-CR-CRP8 (8-inch post) rather than stacking multiple 4-inch units.
