Description

Vertiv GL-CR610 Cable Runway 10 ft x 6 in Wide

Overview

The Vertiv GL-CR610 is a 10-foot by 6-inch-wide open cable runway segment designed for overhead horizontal cable runs in data centers, server rooms, and network equipment rooms. This runway keeps structured cabling — patch cables, fiber runs, power cords — organized and accessible without the airflow restriction of enclosed cable trays, making it a practical choice for high-density rack rows where technicians need frequent access to individual cables. The GL-CR610 forms the backbone of a modular runway system: individual 10-foot sections connect end-to-end using splice kits, and a full catalog of accessories (wall termination kits, triangular support brackets, corner splices, and retaining posts) lets you build straight runs, 90-degree turns, and wall-terminated drops to fit virtually any room layout.

Compatibility

The GL-CR610 is designed for use within Vertiv's GL cable runway ecosystem. Compatible accessories include: GL-CR-BSK (butt splice kit, zinc plated, 4 splice plates) for joining straight runway segments; GL-CR-JSK (junction splice kit, zinc plated, 4 splice plates) for T or cross intersections; GL-CORNER-SPLICE (wiremesh runway tree and 90-degree bend kit, zinc plated); GL-CR-WTK6 (wall termination kit, 6-inch wide, black); GL-CR-TSB6 (triangular support bracket, 6-inch wide, black); GL-CR-VWB (vertical wall bracket, kit of 2); GL-CR-VSB (vertical support bracket); GL-CR-SHBK (1.50-inch slotted hanger bracket kit); GL-CR-JBOLT (J-bolt hardware for single mounting point, 5/16-18, black); GL-CR-CRP4 and GL-CR-CRP8 (cable retaining posts, 4-inch and 8-inch); GL-CR-EC (vinyl end cap, black); GL-CR-BSSK (adjustable straight splice bracket kit); GL-WBT-CD (cable tray dropout cabling bend radius device, 7.75-inch wide); GL-WBT-RCS2 and GL-WBT-RCS4 (radius corner splices, 2-inch and 4-inch); and GL-SPLKT and GL-BAR-SPLICE splicing fittings. The runway system also integrates with Vertiv VRX, CMR, CMRX, and UCR hanging rack families for drop-in overhead-to-rack cable transitions.

Installation Notes

Mount Type options documented for this system include wall, ceiling, corner, recessed, and rack configurations — select bracket and hardware accessories accordingly. The 6-inch width accommodates moderate cable bundle density; plan cable fill at no more than 50% of tray cross-section to maintain accessibility and avoid exceeding weight ratings. Use GL-CR-JBOLT J-bolt hardware for threaded-rod ceiling drops; use GL-CR-TSB6 triangular brackets for wall-mounted support spans. All splice and junction kits are zinc plated for corrosion resistance in typical indoor environments. Pair with GL-BAR-SPLICE UL-approved bonding connection fittings where electrical continuity across segments is required by local code.
