The Vertiv ESC-K12-7 is a 12-piece set of horizontal cable management fingers designed for structured rack installations where controlling horizontal cable runs across 7 rack units at 7 inches of depth is the primary need. Each finger panel keeps patch cables, power cords, and interconnects organized in discrete horizontal channels — reducing cable stress, preventing sag against adjacent equipment, and keeping airflow paths clear in high-density enclosures. If you are building out or expanding a rack row and need consistent cable dress across multiple rack positions, the 12-unit quantity in this package supports a contiguous deployment without mixing hardware generations.
Designed for integration with Vertiv rack enclosures and open-frame racks that accept standard EIA-310 mounting rails. The 7RU form factor and 7-inch depth profile are sized for use in horizontal cable management applications within Vertiv VR, VS, and VX series enclosures, as well as other EIA-compliant open-frame and enclosed rack systems that provide the matching rail spacing. Confirm your rack's usable horizontal depth at the cable management mounting position before ordering — the 7-inch depth must clear existing vertical managers, blanking panels, and any front-door clearance requirements in your specific enclosure model.
Mount the fingers on standard 10-32 or M6 cage nut rails depending on your enclosure specification. Each unit occupies the standard 1U panel slot within the 7RU block; route cables through the fingers before dressing them to avoid re-terminating live connections. For high-density patch environments, plan cable fill to no more than 70% of each finger channel — overfilling compresses bend radius on patch cables and adds pull-through resistance during future MAC work. Twelve units are sufficient to populate a full rack face in a mid-density patch panel and switch deployment, or to segment cable egress across two half-rack sections in a shared-colocation layout.
