Overview
The Brother TD4420TN is a compact 4.3-inch desktop label printer engineered for warehouse, logistics, and retail operations that need on-demand barcode and label production without the overhead of ribbon-fed systems. At 203 dpi and 6 inches per second, the TD4420TN delivers sharp monochrome output on roll-fed labels, wristbands, and receipts. Direct thermal printing eliminates ribbon consumption on most label stocks—a meaningful cost reduction in high-volume environments where you're printing dozens of SKU labels per shift.
Compatibility
The TD4420TN integrates via USB Host, USB Serial (device mode), and Ethernet LAN, making it compatible with warehouse management systems (WMS), point-of-sale (POS), inventory platforms, and enterprise label design software running Windows, Mac, or Linux. It supports ZPL II®, CPCL, Raster Graphics, and text-based print commands—standard protocols across Zebra, Datamax, and other industrial label printer ecosystems. Installation Notes
Drop-in roll media (up to 5-inch outer diameter, 0.50-inch core ID minimum) loads without tools. Adjustable roll holder accommodates media widths from 0.79 to 4.65 inches; maximum print width is 4.25 inches. Media sensor types include transmissive gap/hole detection and reflective black-bar sensing with adjustable position—critical for accurate label start/stop in multi-label batches. Optional peeler module and cutter are available for inline label finishing. Single power button and LED status indicators (Power, End of Roll, Status) provide basic user feedback; no touchscreen or advanced display.
