Overview

The Vertiv GL-CR-BJ67 is a factory-matched bonding jumper kit designed for Vertiv Liebert CR close-coupled precision cooling units. Bonding jumpers establish a low-impedance equipotential path between equipment enclosures and grounding conductors — a required step in any NEC-compliant installation where cooling units connect to a facility grounding system. Skipping or improvising this step creates ground-loop risk and can void the equipment's electrical safety certification. The GL-CR-BJ67 ships as a matched kit so the installer is not sourcing hardware separately or sizing conductors in the field.

Compatibility

This kit is designed for the Liebert CR precision cooling product family, covering the following factory configurations across all three refrigerant delivery architectures:

  • Air-Cooled: CR019Ra (19 kW, 300 mm), CR020Ra (20 kW), CR035Ra (35 kW)
  • Water/Glycol Cooled: CR019Rw (19 kW), CR035Rw (35 kW)
  • Chilled Water: CR032Rc (32 kW), CR040Rc (40 kW), CR050Rc (50 kW)

Verify your unit's model designation on the nameplate before ordering — the CR family spans 19 kW to 50 kW nominal capacity across three refrigerant types, and the bonding scheme must match the unit's enclosure configuration. If your CR unit is not listed above, confirm compatibility with the data center cooling accessories for that variant before installation.

Installation Notes

Bonding jumper installation must follow the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) and applicable NEC Article 250 requirements for equipment grounding. Install the jumper before energizing the unit. Use the jumper as supplied — do not substitute with field-cut conductors of different gauge or termination type, as the kit is sized to the CR unit's grounding lug specification. Consult the Liebert CR installation documentation for torque values at the grounding lug terminals.
