Overview

The Middle Atlantic EB1-CP12 is a contractor pack of 12 steel 1U blank panels sized for standard 19-inch equipment racks. At 1.75 in tall and 0.52 in deep, each panel fills a single rack unit of open space — closing off unused slots to block airflow bypass, reduce dust ingestion, and maintain a clean front-of-rack appearance in telecom closets, security head-end cabinets, and AV equipment rooms. Buying in a 12-pack makes sense for integrators commissioning multiple racks or leaving a buffer of spares on the shelf; the panels ship in plain poly bags to keep the cost down without sacrificing the flat black powder coat finish. The EB1-CP12 is a standard item in any Middle Atlantic rack accessory kit.

Compatibility

Fits any standard EIA-310 19-inch rack with standard rack unit spacing — including Middle Atlantic's own rack enclosures (ERK, PD, and WM series), as well as third-party 19-in open-frame and enclosed racks from APC, Tripp Lite, Belden, Legrand, and equivalent four-post or two-post frames that accept flanged 1U panels. The flanged mounting style uses two mounting points per panel and seats flush against the rack rails without additional hardware beyond the rack's existing cage nuts or clip nuts. Not suitable for 23-inch telco racks or non-standard frame widths.

Installation Notes

Each panel mounts via two points at the flanged edges — standard cage nuts and rack screws (not included) are required. At 0.52 in deep the panel does not protrude into cable management space. The flat black powder coat finish matches Middle Atlantic's standard equipment color. Panels ship loose in poly bags; store unused units in the bag to prevent finish scratching.
