Middle Atlantic BGR-276FT-FC BGR Series Fan Top with Fan Controller

Overview

The BGR-276FT-FC is an active fan top assembly designed to mount directly onto Middle Atlantic BGR series racks, delivering 276 CFM of forced airflow to exhaust heat from densely loaded AV and network equipment. The integrated fan controller — included in the assembly — regulates fan speed based on thermal demand, reducing noise during light loads while ramping up when internal rack temperatures climb. At 22.38 in wide and 1.53 in deep, the BGR-276FT-FC occupies minimal vertical space while moving enough air to handle high-density switch, amplifier, and recorder builds. Power draw is 12 VDC from a 120 VAC input, so it wires into standard rack power distribution without a separate transformer. This unit is not rated for international use and should be deployed on 120 VAC circuits only.

Compatibility

Designed specifically for the Middle Atlantic BGR series rack platform. The 22.38 in width and mounting footprint match BGR open-frame and enclosed rack enclosures in the BGR family. Confirm your specific BGR chassis width before ordering — this fan top is sized for full-width BGR configurations. Not compatible with non-BGR Middle Atlantic rack lines (e.g., ERK, PD, or WRK series) without verifying dimensional fit. For deployments integrating NVRs, PoE switches, and other heat-generating gear in a single rack, active fan tops like this are necessary to stay within operating temperature envelopes for the enclosed rack cooling equipment.

Installation Notes

The unit installs on top of compatible BGR rack enclosures. Input is 120 VAC; connect to a dedicated outlet on your rack-mounted power distribution unit.
