Overview

The APC by Schneider Electric BE600M1 is a standby UPS designed to provide essential battery backup and surge protection for low-power electronic devices. This unit is ideal for protecting a small workstation, network router, or point-of-sale (POS) system during brief power interruptions or voltage fluctuations. Its compact, desktop form factor allows for easy placement in tight office or retail environments. The BE600M1 offers 5 NEMA 5-15R outlets, providing both battery-backed and surge-only protection.

Compatibility

This UPS is suitable for protecting a range of sensitive equipment including, but not limited to: standard desktop computers, network routers and modems, small network switches, POS terminals, and other low-power electronic devices that require stable power. It is compatible with systems drawing up to 330W (600VA) and operating on a 120V AC line.

Installation Notes

The unit operates on a standard 120V AC input and provides regulated 120V AC output when on battery power. It features an audible alarm system that alerts users to critical conditions such as battery power activation, low battery status, and overload situations. The UPS draws a maximum of 5A and has a surge energy rating of 490 Joules, filtering common EMI/RFI noise to ensure cleaner power delivery. Hold time on battery is between 6-10ms.
