The Axis 02528-001 TS3901 rail extensions adjust mounting depth for the Axis S3016 recorder in server racks with non-standard post-to-post distances. Purpose: solve the installation constraint where standard rails don't reach across deeper rack architectures (19.6 to 27.1 inches / 499–689 mm). Deploy these when your data center or network operations center runs rack depths beyond the standard 4-post range — they provide the structural flexibility to position the S3016 without adapter brackets or bending cable runs.
These extensions are engineered for the Axis S3016 Recorder only. They support post-to-post distances from 499 mm (19.6 in) to 689 mm (27.1 in), covering most enterprise server racks and custom-depth installations. Verify your rack's internal depth before ordering — measure the distance between the front and rear mounting posts. The 02528-001 is a direct fit for S3016 deployments; they do not work with other Axis recorder models or generic server hardware.
Install these extensions after removing the standard S3016 rails. Align the rail extension brackets with the S3016 mounting points and secure to the rack posts at the depth that accommodates your cable management and airflow requirements. Ensure the recorder is level after installation and that all fasteners are tightened to manufacturer specification. The extensions maintain load-bearing capacity for the S3016's operating weight; do not exceed the rated load or use in configurations where the recorder extends beyond the rear post without additional bracing. Enterprise-grade steel construction is rated for continuous rack-mounted operation in temperature-controlled environments.
