The Axis 01464-001 is a bulk pack of 10 threaded ceiling mounts engineered for rapid deployment of surveillance cameras above drop ceilings. Each mount features a 1/4"-20 UNC threaded rod with an 80mm total length and 65mm thread engagement, sized to accept standard tripod-threaded camera bases. The nylon construction with friction-pad counter nut provides secure hold without thread lock compound — a practical choice for integrators installing multiple cameras across the same ceiling plane where you need repeatable, tool-light setup.
Compatibility
Works with any surveillance camera or pan-tilt-zoom head carrying a standard 1/4"-20 UNC tripod mount — this includes Axis domes, bullets, and turrets in the P32-, P33-, and Q-series families, as well as third-party cameras using the same thread specification. The 65mm thread length is sized for typical drop-ceiling thickness (T-bar or suspended drywall). If your ceiling is thicker than 80mm total or requires retrofit into solid material (concrete, wood framing), verify clearance before ordering — excess rod length above the counter nut will protrude and create a snag hazard.
Installation Notes
No specialized tools required — hand-tighten the friction-pad counter nut to lock the rod in place. The nylon material resists corrosion in humid or salt-spray environments, but do not over-torque the nut; nylon threads strip under excessive force. For suspended ceilings, ensure the camera weight does not exceed the load rating of your ceiling grid — these mounts support the mechanical connection only. Verify the camera base aligns with the threaded hole before final tightening to avoid cross-threading.
