Description

Altronix T2RM78S Rackmount Power Distribution Module

Overview

The Altronix T2RM78S is a 1U rackmount power distribution module designed to efficiently distribute power to multiple surveillance devices. It addresses the need for organized, fused power delivery in rack-mounted systems, simplifying installation and maintenance in environments like data centers or head-end equipment rooms. This unit provides eight fused outputs, allowing for individual protection and isolation of connected devices, preventing a single failure from impacting the entire system. The T2RM78S is suitable for 12VDC or 24VAC applications, offering flexibility for various camera and accessory power requirements.

Compatibility

This module is designed to integrate with standard 19-inch rack systems. It is compatible with a wide range of low-voltage surveillance equipment requiring 12VDC or 24VAC power, including IP cameras, PTZ cameras, video encoders, and network switches. The fused outputs are suitable for devices drawing up to 2.5A per output, with a total system current not exceeding 10A.

Installation Notes

Installation requires mounting within a standard 19-inch rack. Input power connections should be made to the terminal block, supporting either 12VDC or 24VAC. Each of the eight outputs features a user-replaceable 5mm x 20mm fuse, allowing for specific current protection tailored to each connected device. The module requires a separate power source (not included) capable of supplying the total current draw of all connected devices.
