Overview
The ALTV1224DC1220 is a wall-mounted DC power distribution unit for multi-camera CCTV installations. It delivers 12VDC or 24VDC across sixteen individually fused outputs with 4A continuous current capacity and 3.5A maximum per output — solving the wiring-complexity and over-current-protection problem in distributed camera deployments where each line needs independent fault isolation. This model fits compact surveillance cabinets, utility closets, and equipment rooms where rack space is limited but fused output density matters.
Compatibility
The ALTV1224DC1220 works with any analog or IP camera, PTZ, or access-control device that draws 12VDC or 24VDC at or below 0.25A nominal per output. Common pairing scenarios: analog turret or dome arrays in older retail or municipal installs; IP camera backup power feeds in PoE-constrained networks; access control door strike supplies in multi-entrance facilities. The 16-output architecture scales from small 4–6 camera sites up to 12+ device deployments without requiring multiple supplies or daisy-chaining.
Installation Notes
Input: 220VAC (198–256VAC, 50/60 Hz, 0.6A). Enclosure: BC300 wall-mount steel cabinet, 13″W × 13.5″H × 3.25″D, with 1/2″ and 3/4″ combination knockouts for conduit entry. Operating environment: 0°C to 49°C (32°F to 120°F). Filtered and regulated outputs maintain camera video sync and prevent ground-loop artifacts in long cable runs. AC/DC LED status indicators and power ON/OFF switch included. Battery backup supports sealed lead acid or gel-type 12VDC batteries up to 7AH in-enclosure or 40–65AH via external enclosure (batteries sold separately) — instantaneous failover on AC loss. CE compliant.
