Overview
The Altronix AL400ULXPD16R is a 1U rackmount power distribution unit designed to provide reliable, fused power for multiple surveillance devices. It integrates two PD8 power distribution modules, offering 16 fused outputs from a single power source. This unit is ideal for centralized power management in server racks within security control rooms or data centers, simplifying wiring and reducing potential points of failure for IP cameras, access control panels, or other low-voltage security equipment. The AL400ULXPD16R ensures each connected device receives stable, protected power.
Compatibility
This unit is designed to accept a 12VDC or 24VDC input from a compatible Altronix power supply (sold separately). The 16 fused outputs are suitable for powering a wide range of low-voltage security devices including, but not limited to, IP cameras from brands like Axis, Hanwha, Hikvision, and Dahua; access control readers and controllers; intercom systems; and network switches that require a dedicated fused power source. It is compatible with Altronix power supplies rated for the total current draw of the connected devices.
Installation Notes
The AL400ULXPD16R requires a separate Altronix power supply unit to provide the primary DC input voltage (12VDC or 24VDC). Each of the 16 outputs is individually fused, allowing for easy replacement and protection against overcurrent conditions. The unit is designed for standard 19-inch rack mounting. Proper wiring practices must be followed, ensuring correct polarity and gauge for the total current draw of all connected devices to prevent overheating or voltage drop.
