• Audio cabling runs should be kept under 100 feet whenever possible, especially from the amplifier to remote ceiling speakers. Long cable runs introduce impedance losses that steal output power. • The VOX (voice-activated transmission) feature on the microphone input is a convenience, not a substitute for active monitoring. During hands-free paging, there's a brief delay while the circuit detects speech and ramps the gate. For emergency announcements, use wired or IP-based paging buttons instead of relying solely on VOX.
• No built-in echo cancellation. If you're feeding live telephone or VoIP audio directly into the amplifier, the return path from speakers back to the communication device can create feedback loops. Use a separate echo canceller upstream, or ensure the IX controller is handling echo suppression before audio reaches the MD35M input.
• Mount in a climate-controlled equipment closet or rack. The amplifier doesn't require active cooling at moderate ambient temperatures, but keep it away from direct heat sources, moisture, and vibration (HVAC units, heavy machinery). A standard 19-inch rack shelf is ideal; wall mounting works fine in dry, temperature-stable environments.
