The Aiphone LE-B is a semi flush mount wall-mounted sub station designed to function as a secondary communication point in Aiphone intercom system deployments. It handles push-to-talk (simplex) or open voice hands-free communication controlled by a master station, making it a practical secondary endpoint for multi-point residential, commercial, or institutional installations where you need distributed entry or internal voice communication without video.
The LE-B integrates with Aiphone intercom product families as a subordinate station. It pairs with Aiphone master station units and compatible secondary stations to form larger intercom networks. Confirm your specific master station model supports sub-station configuration before purchase — this unit does not function standalone.
Wire type: 3-conductor shielded cable. Use Aiphone #822203 (22 AWG) or #821803 (18 AWG). Maximum wire distance from sub station to farthest master station: 650 feet (22 AWG) or 1,600 feet (18 AWG) — distance determines gauge selection. Dimensions: 8-3/16" H × 6" W × 13/16" D. Semi flush mounting accommodates standard wall boxes (1-gang or 2-gang typical). Shielding requirement means run cable in conduit or bundle separately from AC power to avoid hum or interference on the audio path.
