Overview
The PMAX-1403 is a ceiling-mount bracket engineered specifically for the ACTi Z950 and Z952 2MP fixed cameras. It provides rigid mechanical support and draws power via PoE (802.3af), eliminating the need for separate power infrastructure at the ceiling penetration. This is the correct choice when you're installing compact 2MP cameras in drop-ceiling or hard-ceiling environments where you need a clean, discrete mounting point without running dedicated electrical.
Compatibility
This bracket is designed exclusively for ACTi Z950 and Z952 models. It is not backward or forward compatible with other ACTi camera families. Verify your camera model before ordering — confusing mount families adds installation time and site delays. The Z950 and Z952 are 2MP fixed indoor cameras, so this mount is suited for indoor retail floors, office corridors, educational facilities, and light commercial spaces.
Installation Notes
The PMAX-1403 mounts directly to ceiling structure via standard mechanical fasteners. PoE injection (802.3af compliant) supplies power to the camera at the mount point, so you'll need a PoE-capable switch or injector on the network. No separate 24V or 48V power supply is required. Ensure your PoE switch has available budget — the Z950 and Z952 draw modest power (check the camera datasheet for exact wattage), but cumulative load across many cameras should be validated before deployment. Standard installation tools (drill, wrench, level) are typical for ceiling work.
