ACTi PMAX-0809 1.0" NPT Converter Ring
Overview
The PMAX-0809 is a 1.0" NPT (National Pipe Thread) converter ring that bridges third-party cameras and accessories to ACTi mounting infrastructure. Deploy this when you need to integrate non-ACTi hardware into an existing ACTi mount ecosystem — typical in mixed-vendor surveillance builds, retrofit installations, or sites where camera sourcing spans multiple manufacturers. The NPT male/female interface handles both indoor and outdoor mounting scenarios where standardized thread adaptation is the constraint.
Compatibility
Designed to work with any third-party camera or accessory featuring a 1.0" NPT mount interface. Supports PoE (802.3af) powered installations, so you can integrate low-power cameras into standard surveillance networks without additional adapters. Compatible with both ACTi mounting rails and poles, as well as generic 1.0" NPT-threaded mounting points. If your third-party camera uses a different thread standard (3/8"-16, 1/4"-20, or metric), verify thread compatibility before ordering — this ring handles NPT only.
Installation Notes
Ensure the mounting surface is rated for the combined weight of the camera and adapter. NPT threads should be sealed with plumber's thread tape or equivalent sealant if used outdoors or in damp environments to prevent water ingress. Hand-tighten initially, then use a wrench to final torque — do not over-tighten NPT threads as they can strip. Verify the camera's power draw does not exceed 802.3af limits (13W); oversized cameras will require PoE+ or dedicated power.
