The PMAX-0204 is a rugged aluminum outdoor enclosure designed to protect 2MP surveillance cameras in demanding cold-weather environments. The integrated electric heater maintains camera operability in sub-zero temperatures, eliminating thermal shutdown risk during winter deployments across northern climates, rooftop installations, and exposed exterior locations. Powered entirely via PoE (802.3af standard), the housing requires no separate 110V or 220V infrastructure at the mount point — a significant advantage in remote or retrofit scenarios where electrical runs are impractical.

The PMAX-0204 accommodates ACTi 2MP camera modules and supports both wall and rack-mounted configurations, providing flexible deployment options for integrators managing mixed installation footprints. Installation Notes
The integrated heater draws power within the 802.3af budget (13W maximum), so standard PoE switches and midspan injectors will support the combined load. Mount hardware accommodates both horizontal (wall) and vertical (rack) orientations. In extreme cold (below -20°C / -4°F), allow 15–20 minutes for the heater to reach steady-state thermal regulation. Condensation control: ensure drainage holes at the housing base remain clear to prevent internal moisture buildup during freeze-thaw cycles.
