Overview
The Panduit Opti-Core® FSNL924Y is a 24-fiber OS2 bulk indoor/outdoor loose tube cable designed for robust surveillance network backbones. Its gel-free construction and LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) rating make it suitable for installations where environmental and safety considerations are paramount, such as within commercial buildings or sensitive industrial environments requiring reliable data transmission for IP cameras and network infrastructure.
Compatibility
This cable is compatible with standard fiber optic termination and splicing equipment for OS2 single-mode fiber. It is intended for use with network switches, media converters, and NVRs that accept OS2 single-mode fiber optic connections, enabling high-bandwidth data transfer for video surveillance systems. Ensure your termination hardware supports 24-fiber counts and OS2 specifications for optimal performance.
Installation Notes
The cable features a UV-resistant jacket for outdoor exposure and is LSZH rated, reducing hazardous smoke emissions in case of fire. Its gel-free design simplifies termination and splicing processes. Recommended minimum bend radius for installation is 10x cable diameter, and 20x cable diameter for long-term use, to prevent signal loss. Operating temperature range is -20°C to +70°C (-4°F to +158°F).
