Overview

The Comnet C1PS is a 9VDC rack-mount power supply rated for 90–264 VAC input at 70W maximum. It delivers 6.5 amps at 9 volts (±5%) and is designed to power modular ComNet chassis-based systems — such as managed extenders, media converters, and rack-mounted surveillance interface modules. The C1PS avoids single-point-of-failure scenarios through automatic electronic current limiting on a per-module basis rather than at the supply itself. If one module faults or draws excessive current, only that module shuts down; the rest of the rack continues operating. Current limiting is self-resetting on temporary faults, and all modules support hot-swap operation without powering down the entire rack.

Compatibility

The C1PS powers ComNet modular chassis systems that require 9VDC at up to 6.5 amps — including managed fiber extenders, video transmission modules, and rack-mounted interface cards in surveillance backbone installations. Verify your chassis part number and voltage requirement before ordering; this supply is DC-output only and unsuitable for devices requiring 12VDC or 24VDC.
