The Comnet C2US is a card cage rack assembly paired with two 90-264 VAC 50/60 Hz power supplies configured for redundancy. This is a utility frame designed to mount and power Comnet field-installable interface cards — the type commonly deployed at edge locations in surveillance networks where multiple protocols or signal conditioning modules need centralized housing and failsafe power delivery. The redundant supply configuration means one PSU can fail without dropping the load; the cage itself remains powered. Use this where a single power loss would cascade across multiple remote endpoints (fiber converters, protocol bridges, isolation modules) feeding back to a central NVR or management system.
The C2US rack accepts Comnet field-installable cards designed for standard cage mounting — primarily isolation modules, protocol converters (RS-485, RS-422, fiber optics), and signal conditioning products from Comnet's interface card family. Verify card dimensions and connector types with the specific Comnet modules you intend to install; the cage itself is a passive mechanical and electrical platform. The 90-264 VAC input accommodates both North American (120 VAC 60 Hz) and European/Asian (230 VAC 50 Hz) mains voltage without jumper changes.
The C2US is shipped as a complete assembly with both PSUs installed and pre-wired. Packaged dimensions are 22.20" × 10.40" × 10.20" and gross weight is 9.25 lbs. Mount the cage to a standard DIN rail, equipment rack, or wall-mount surface using appropriate fasteners for your enclosure type. Wire the two PSUs in parallel using the internal harness (do not modify live circuits). Confirm input voltage matches your site supply (90–264 VAC accepted across the full range). The redundant configuration requires both supplies to be wired to the same load bus; failure of either PSU will not interrupt power as long as the remaining supply has capacity for the connected card load. Verify total card current draw does not exceed a single PSU's rated output; consult the PSU specification sheet for maximum current per supply.
