The Middle Atlantic EVFD-8 is a vented front door designed for 8-rack-unit EWR series enclosures. At 22% vent open area, it provides passive airflow to help dissipate heat from equipment without requiring active ventilation — a practical fit for edge deployments where a sealed door would trap heat around NVRs, PoE switches, or other gear running 24/7. The EVFD-8 measures 20.04 in wide × 14.87 in tall × 1.4 in deep and ships in a textured black powder coat finish that matches standard EWR enclosure aesthetics.
Compatibility
The EVFD-8 is purpose-built for Middle Atlantic EWR series racks — specifically 8RU configurations in that line. It is not a universal door and will not fit WRK, BGR, or other Middle Atlantic enclosure families that use different frame widths or door-mounting geometry. If your enclosure is a different rack unit count (4RU, 12RU, 16RU, etc.), confirm the correct EVFD variant before ordering. For integrators building out rack enclosure systems with NVRs, managed switches, or access control hardware, pairing the appropriate vented door with your EWR chassis is straightforward — the door mounts directly to the EWR frame with no additional hardware beyond what ships with the enclosure.
