Overview

The Altronix NETWAYSP8X2 is a compact, high-power 8-port PoE injector designed to deliver up to 240W of total power to connected devices. It features two SFP ports for fiber uplink connectivity, enabling extended network reach and resilience. This unit is engineered for demanding surveillance applications where reliable power delivery to multiple IP cameras, access control readers, or other network devices is critical, especially in environments requiring fiber uplinks for distance or EMI immunity. The NETWAYSP8X2 simplifies deployment by consolidating power and network connectivity for up to eight devices.

Compatibility

This injector is compatible with any IEEE 802.3af/at/bt compliant network devices. It is suitable for powering a range of IP cameras, including but not limited to, models from Axis Communications' P32-series (P3265, P3267, P3268) and M-series, Hanwha Vision's X-series, and Hikvision's EasyIP series, provided they adhere to the PoE standards. The SFP ports are compatible with standard 1Gbps SFP modules (sold separately) for fiber optic uplinks.

Installation Notes

Ensure the total power draw of connected devices does not exceed the 240W total output. Each port can deliver up to 30W per IEEE 802.3bt. Proper ventilation is required; do not install in an unventilated enclosure without adequate airflow. Use appropriate gauge wiring for power input and device connections as per local electrical codes.
