Overview

The Altronix NETWAYSP8X3 is a hardened, managed 8-port Power over Ethernet (PoE) injector designed for powering IP cameras, access control systems, and other network devices in demanding surveillance environments. It provides a total of 360W of PoE power, distributed across eight 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet ports, and includes two 1 Gbps SFP ports for high-speed fiber uplinks. This unit is ideal for outdoor installations or locations where standard network switches cannot be deployed due to environmental or power limitations. The NETWAYSP8X3 simplifies deployment by delivering both data connectivity and power over a single Ethernet cable.

Compatibility

This injector is compatible with any IEEE 802.3af/at/bt compliant PoE-powered device (PD). It supports standard network infrastructure and can be integrated into existing surveillance systems utilizing IP cameras from manufacturers such as Axis, Hanwha, Hikvision, Dahua, and others. The SFP ports allow for flexible integration with various fiber optic transceivers (sold separately) to extend network reach over long distances or connect to backbone switches.

Installation Notes

The unit requires a 100-240VAC, 50/60Hz input power source. Each Ethernet port can deliver up to 30W of PoE power, with a total power budget of 360W for all eight ports. Ensure the total power draw of connected devices does not exceed this budget. The SFP ports require compatible SFP modules for fiber connectivity. Mounting hardware and power cord are typically included, but SFP modules and Ethernet cables are sold separately.
