Overview

The Panduit UTP28X8INOR is an 8-inch Cat6A unshielded twisted pair (U/UTP) patch cord designed for high-density data center environments. Its compact 28 AWG solid copper construction and 0.185-inch diameter simplify cable management in tight spaces, supporting 10GBASE-T Ethernet up to 500 MHz. The integrated tangle-free latch ensures secure connections and easy removal, streamlining moves, adds, and changes. This cord also features pre-installed RapidID barcodes for efficient asset tracking and network management.

Compatibility

This patch cord is engineered for 10GBASE-T Ethernet deployments and supports IEEE 802.3af/at Power over Ethernet (PoE) for up to 48 cables in a bundle, and 802.3bt Type 3/4 PoE++ for up to 24 cables. It meets ANSI/TIA-1096-A and IEC 60603-7 standards, ensuring interoperability with standard RJ45 connectors and equipment. Applications include data center I/O consolidation, server virtualization, backbone aggregation, and high-speed computing infrastructure.

Installation Notes

The cable jacket is rated CM/LSZH (Communications Multipurpose/Low Smoke Zero Halogen), suitable for plenum spaces where required by code and for environments where low smoke and flame retardancy are critical.
