Overview

The Speco N8WNUM12TB is an 8-channel network video recorder bundled with a dedicated monitor and 12TB internal storage — a wall-mountable system designed for small-to-medium deployments in retail locations, office buildings, and warehouse entry points where you need recording, playback, and live monitoring without a separate server footprint. This is a complete recording stack; you mount it once and connect cameras directly via network.

Compatibility

The N8WNUM12TB accepts standard IP cameras (any ONVIF-compliant model) over Ethernet. It records 8 channels simultaneously and supports mixed resolution streams — 1080p, 2MP, 4MP, or higher-megapixel cameras can coexist on the same recorder without format conversion penalties. Network connectivity is via standard RJ-45 PoE and non-PoE inputs, so you can mix powered cameras and injector-fed devices on the same recorder. Storage is pre-installed; no additional drives needed at setup.

Installation Notes

Wall mounting requires a standard VESA bracket (typically 75x75 or 100x100 — confirm with mounting template before drilling). The integrated monitor mounts adjacent to or behind the NVR unit depending on desk/wall layout. Ensure adequate ventilation around the rear fan exhaust; do not install in direct sunlight or sealed cabinets — operating temperature range is typically 0°C to 40°C. Connect your PoE switch or midspan injector upstream; the recorder itself does not inject power to cameras (separate PoE infrastructure required). Factory reset and initial admin credential setup are handled via the local monitor and onscreen menus — no cloud registration required.
