Overview

The Altronix NETWAY8V is an 8-port midspan Power over Ethernet (PoE) injector designed to deliver power and data to IP cameras, wireless access points, and other network devices. It simplifies installation by consolidating power delivery for multiple devices into a single unit, ideal for rack-mount deployments in surveillance systems or enterprise networks. The NETWAY8V supports up to 8 devices, each receiving up to 15.4W of power per port.

Compatibility

This midspan injector is compatible with any IEEE 802.3af compliant network device requiring PoE. It is suitable for powering a wide range of IP cameras from brands such as Axis, Hanwha, Hikvision, and Dahua, as well as wireless access points from Ubiquiti, Aruba, and Cisco, provided they adhere to the 802.3af standard. It functions as a standalone power source, requiring a separate network switch for data connectivity.

Installation Notes

The unit requires a standard 220V AC power input. Each of the 8 output ports provides 15.4W of power. Ensure your network switch has sufficient uplink ports to connect to the data-only ports on the NETWAY8V, and that the total power draw of connected devices does not exceed the injector's capacity. For optimal performance and longevity, install in a climate-controlled environment.
