Overview

The Altronix EBRIDGE8PCRX is an 8-output receiver designed to extend IP camera connectivity over existing coax or twisted-pair cabling. This unit is critical for modernizing surveillance systems by allowing the deployment of IP cameras without the expense of running new network cables. It terminates the transmission line and delivers PoE or PoE+ power to connected IP devices, simplifying installations in legacy environments. Compatibility

This receiver is designed to work with Altronix transmission devices, specifically the EBRIDGE16PCRX transmitter. It supports the transmission of data and power for IP cameras and other network devices that comply with IEEE 802.3af (PoE) and 802.3at (PoE+) standards. It is compatible with IP cameras that require up to 25W of power per port.

Installation Notes

The EBRIDGE8PCRX requires a 110-240VAC, 50/60Hz input at the headend to power the paired transmitter. Each receiver port can deliver up to 25W of PoE/PoE+ power. Maximum transmission distance is up to 1500 meters (4921 ft) depending on cable type and power requirements of the connected device. Ensure proper termination of coax or twisted-pair cables to maintain signal integrity and power delivery.
