Overview
The LIN5-26W1-W11G is a 6-foot DVI dual-link male-to-male cable from ATEN, designed to connect displays, KVM switches, or video sources that require full dual-link DVI bandwidth. Dual-link DVI carries twice the data of single-link — supporting resolutions above 1920x1200 up to 2560x1600 — making it the correct choice when a single-link cable would bottleneck your display's native resolution. If your display or KVM switch specifies dual-link DVI, substituting a single-link cable will cap output at 1920x1200 regardless of source capability.
Compatibility
Designed for use with ATEN KVM switches and extenders in the KVM product category that expose DVI dual-link ports — including the CS1642 and CS1644 dual-link DVI KVMP series. Also compatible with any display, graphics card, or video source equipped with a standard DVI-D or DVI-I dual-link receptacle. Verify that both endpoints are dual-link capable before ordering; a dual-link cable connected to a single-link port operates at single-link bandwidth without damage, but you will not gain any resolution benefit.
Installation Notes
Seat both connectors fully and finger-tighten the retaining screws to prevent signal loss from a loose connection — a common source of intermittent blank-screen events at higher resolutions. Keep cable runs straight where possible; sharp bends near the connector hood can stress the internal wire pairs and degrade signal integrity over time.
