The VE66DTH is a Dante-networked audio interface that bridges an IP audio network to six balanced analog line outputs and one HDMI stereo audio output — a total of eight discrete audio channels. It solves the last-meter problem in distributed AV installations where Dante carries audio across the network infrastructure but analog endpoints (amplifiers, speakers, DSPs) need a local physical connection. Designed for rack or pole mounting, the VE66DTH fits conference rooms, lecture halls, and AV-over-IP installations where Dante is the backbone but analog zone distribution is still required.
The VE66DTH operates on any standard Dante audio network and connects to Dante-enabled transmitters, mixers, or controllers from any manufacturer using the Dante protocol. On the output side, it drives balanced analog loads via three 3.5 mm captive screw connectors (5-pole, mono balanced) at a maximum output level of 0 dBV (1 Vrms) into loads down to 100 ohms balanced or 50 ohms unbalanced — compatible with standard line-level amplifiers and DSP inputs in that impedance range. The HDMI output carries HDMI stereo audio embedded from the Dante or HDMI source, supporting HDMI 3D, Deep Color, and 4K HDR at HDCP 2.2 compliance, making it a direct fit for displays, AV receivers, or capture devices that require HDCP-compliant 4K HDR signals. Dante firmware is updated via the Dante Firmware Update Manager (Windows, v3.10.9.6); device firmware is updated separately (v1.1.103). The unit-to-unit RJ-45 Dante port connects directly to a standard Gigabit network switch — no proprietary cabling required.
Maximum cable run from the unit to connected analog endpoints is 1.8 m — plan analog wiring to local amplifiers or DSPs accordingly; this is not a long-run analog driver. Operate within 0–80% RH non-condensing; no rated operating temperature range is published in current evidence, so confirm suitability for any non-climate-controlled space before installation. A recessed push-button reset is provided for configuration recovery. Rack and pole mounting hardware configurations are both supported; consult the VE66DTH user manual (ve66dth-user-manual-w.pdf, released 2023-09-18) for mounting bracket specifics and wiring diagrams.
