Description

Altronix ALTV615DC8CB220 Power Distribution Module

Overview

The Altronix ALTV615DC8CB220 is a compact power distribution module designed to provide eight individually fused, PTC-protected outputs from a single 6-15VDC input. This unit is engineered for applications requiring multiple low-voltage devices, such as IP cameras, access control readers, or sensors, to be powered from a centralized source. The ALTV615DC8CB220 simplifies installation by consolidating power delivery and offering circuit protection for each output, preventing a single device failure from impacting others. It accepts a 220VAC input and converts it to a regulated DC output, suitable for various surveillance and security system components.

Compatibility

This power distribution module is compatible with any low-voltage DC device requiring an operating voltage between 6VDC and 15VDC, with a total current draw not exceeding 4A for the entire unit. Each of the eight outputs is protected by a PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) resettable fuse, rated at 1.25A, ensuring that the maximum current per device is managed. It is designed to integrate with 220VAC power sources common in many commercial and industrial environments.

Installation Notes

The unit requires a 220VAC input connection. Each of the eight DC outputs can be configured to deliver a voltage between 6VDC and 15VDC via an onboard adjustment potentiometer. The PTC fuses provide overcurrent protection for each individual output, resetting automatically after a fault condition is removed. Ensure the total current draw across all eight outputs does not exceed the module's 4A maximum rating. Mounting is typically done via screw terminals or a DIN rail bracket (sold separately).
