Overview

The ACTi Q112 is a 5MP indoor pinhole camera purpose-built for covert surveillance deployments where discretion and image quality must coexist. This compact fixed-lens design fits into confined spaces—dropped ceilings, wall cavities, or tight enclosures—without sacrificing resolution. The Q112 replaces the earlier Q61 model, bringing 5MP capture to scenarios where standard dome or bullet cameras would be too visible or physically impossible to mount. Basic WDR balances exposure when lighting varies across the scene, preventing blown-out or crushed detail in mixed conditions. Built-in audio adds recording or monitoring capability without requiring external audio modules.

Compatibility

The Q112 is a standalone IP camera compatible with any ONVIF-compliant video management system (VMS), network video recorder (NVR), or integrator platform that supports standard RTSP/RTMP streaming. It integrates into ACTi surveillance deployments and works with third-party systems running Milestone, Genetec, or equivalent enterprise platforms. Verify your NVR or VMS supports ONVIF Profile S before deployment if you need profile-specific features.

Installation Notes

Mount the Q112 in ceiling or wall cavities using the compact pinhole housing. Provide standard PoE power (802.3af or higher) over a single Ethernet cable—no separate power supply required. The fixed lens requires pre-installation focus planning; position the camera during layout stage, as adjustment after housing closure is limited. Confirm line-of-sight to your network switch or PoE injector. Audio input is available for external microphone integration if passive audio capture is insufficient for your use case.
