Overview

The Panduit UTP28SP5BL is a 5-foot, 28 AWG, unshielded twisted pair (UTP) copper patch cord designed for high-density network installations. Its compact 0.150-inch diameter cable and tangle-free latch simplify management and streamline moves, adds, and changes within server racks or telecommunications closets. This cord supports up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet over limited distances and is rated CM/LSZH for use in riser pathways and environments where low smoke and zero halogen characteristics are required.

Compatibility

This patch cord is engineered to exceed ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6 and ISO 11801 Class E standards, ensuring compatibility with Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T) and 10GBASE-T networks. It supports IEEE 802.3af (PoE), 802.3at (PoE+), and 802.3bt (PoE++) Type 3 and Type 4 Power over Ethernet applications, making it suitable for powering devices like IP cameras, wireless access points, and VoIP phones without requiring separate power cabling. It is wired to be compatible with both T568A and T568B wiring schemes.
