Description

Panduit UTPSP5Y Patch Cord

Overview

The Panduit Pan-Net UTPSP5Y is a 5-foot, off-white Category 6 UTP patch cord designed for reliable network connections. Constructed with 24 AWG stranded copper wire and high-performance modular plugs, this cord ensures optimal signal integrity for applications up to 500 MHz. Its tangle-free latch mechanism simplifies installation and maintenance in high-density environments, streamlining moves, adds, and changes. The slender strain relief boot allows for easy access in crowded racks.

Compatibility

This Cat 6 patch cord supports a wide range of networking standards including Ethernet 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX (Fast Ethernet), 1000BASE-T (Gigabit Ethernet), and 10GBASE-T over limited distances as specified by industry standards. It is also suitable for ATM up to 1.2 Gb/s, Token Ring, digital video, and Voice over IP (VoIP) deployments. The cable construction is U/UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) and it meets or exceeds ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6A and ISO 11801 Class EA channel and component standards. It is rated for 2500 cycles with IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt type 3 and type 4 Power over Ethernet (PoE) delivery, making it suitable for powering network devices.

Installation Notes

This patch cord is rated CM (Communications Multipurpose) for use in risers and general-purpose horizontal applications. It is 100% performance tested for wire map, Near-End Crosstalk (NEXT), and return loss to ensure it meets stringent performance requirements. The integrated pair manager aids in maintaining cable geometry. Pre-installed RapidID barcodes facilitate easy port mapping with compatible RapidID software.
