Description

Middle Atlantic BGR-RR45 45U Forward Rack Rail Pair

Overview

The BGR-RR45 is a pair of replacement or additional forward rack rails for Middle Atlantic's BGR open-frame rack series, providing 45 rack units of mounting space across a standard 19-inch (48.3 cm) EIA panel width. If you're expanding an existing BGR frame, retrofitting a damaged rail, or configuring a split-depth mounting arrangement, the BGR-RR45 drops in without modifying the existing frame structure. Rails are 78.75 inches in length and protrude 2.44 inches (6.2 cm) forward from the mounting face — confirm clearance against your deepest 1U shelf or patch panel before ordering.

Compatibility

Designed specifically for Middle Atlantic BGR series open-frame racks in 45U configurations. These are forward rackrails — they mount at the front of the BGR frame. Verify your BGR frame's rail slot pattern and depth before ordering; BGR forward rails are not interchangeable with BGR rear rails or with rails from Middle Atlantic's WRK, ERK, or PTRK series. If your existing rails are steel with black e-coat finish, the BGR-RR45 matches both material and finish for a consistent build.

Installation Notes

Each rail is constructed from steel with a black e-coat finish — durable enough for permanent rack builds in equipment rooms and structured wiring closets. The UPC installation feature simplifies unit-position identification during equipment staging. At 18 lbs shipping weight for the pair, factor handling into rack assembly sequencing if the BGR frame is already loaded. Width per rail is 1.84 inches (4.7 cm) — confirm this clears any existing cable management fingers or blanking panels mounted adjacent to the rail channel before installation.
