Description

Middle Atlantic BGR-RR38 38U Forward Rack Rail Pair

Overview

The BGR-RR38 is a pair of 19-inch, 38U forward rack rails designed as direct replacement or additional rails for Middle Atlantic BGR series open-frame and enclosed cabinets. If you're expanding an existing BGR enclosure or replacing worn rails in a high-density AV or security equipment rack, this is the part that restores or adds full 38U mounting capacity without sourcing a new enclosure. The BGR-RR38 ships as a matched pair, cut to the 38U form factor, finished in black e-coat steel for corrosion resistance in equipment rooms and server closets.

Compatibility

These rails are engineered specifically for Middle Atlantic BGR series rack cabinets that accept forward rackrail configurations. The 19-inch (48.3 cm) panel width is the EIA-standard 19-inch rack format, so the rails seat correctly in any BGR enclosure built to that standard. Depth footprint is 2.44 inches (6.2 cm) per rail, and rail width is 1.84 inches (4.7 cm) — confirm both dimensions match your existing BGR chassis before ordering. These are forward-position rails; they are not designed for mid-mount or rear-mount configurations. If your BGR cabinet requires a different rail position or RU count, verify the Middle Atlantic accessory matrix for the correct variant — substituting the wrong depth or position rail will prevent proper equipment seating and may void enclosure warranty.

Installation Notes

UPC markings on the rails support fast rack unit identification during installation, reducing measurement errors when populating dense enclosures. Installation fits within the existing BGR cabinet structure — no drilling or modification required when replacing like-for-like rails. Confirm your BGR enclosure's interior depth and mounting hole pattern before installing; the 2.44-inch rail depth must clear any cable management or PDU hardware already mounted in the enclosure. Steel e-coat finish is not rated for wet or outdoor environments — deploy in climate-controlled equipment rooms only.
