Overview
The Middle Atlantic DRK19-44-42PROLRD is a 44U, 42-inch deep open-frame floor-standing rack built for dense AV, surveillance, and IT deployments where maximum equipment access from all sides matters more than enclosure security. At 77 inches of usable height and 34.85 inches of usable depth, this frame accommodates full-depth servers, NVRs, patch panels, and cable management ducts in a single bay without dead space. Steel construction with cage-nut rackrails throughout makes it compatible with virtually any 19-inch rackmount gear — no specialty hardware required. The absence of a rear door is a deliberate tradeoff: you gain unobstructed rear access and simplified cable runs at the cost of dust and physical security protection, making this frame best suited for controlled machine rooms, structured wiring closets, or equipment rooms with restricted access. Compatibility
Accepts any standard 19-inch rackmount equipment using cage-nut rail mounting — common across NVRs, video encoders, network switches, PDUs, patch panels, and AV processors. The 44 RU height accommodates full cabinet builds: a 2U NVR, 24-port PoE switch, patch panel, and cable management still leave 30+ RU of headroom. The gangable design allows this frame to be bolted directly to adjacent Middle Atlantic rack frames, expanding capacity horizontally without additional floor anchoring per bay. Seismic certification under ASCE 7-10 and OSHPD 96-967 qualifies this rack for California OSHPD-regulated facilities and any jurisdiction that enforces ASCE 7-10 seismic design categories — a hard requirement for healthcare and public-sector installs in high seismic zones. The integrated cable management ducts handle front-to-rear and vertical routing without aftermarket accessories.

Overall footprint is 30 inches wide by 42 inches deep — confirm clearance before delivery; at 291 lbs shipping weight this is not a one-person install. UL-rated static load capacity is 2,500 lbs; dynamic (seismic) load capacity drops to 755 lbs at rated ASCE 7-10 conditions — size your equipment load accordingly for seismic installs. Weight capacity (non-seismic, structural) is rated to 10,000 lbs, but the 2,500 lb UL figure is the governing limit for populated rack design.
